Letís all make an effort to attend some or all of our Ottawa Sportsmenís Club meetings this year. Support your club by helping out with projects and events by starting with your presence at the club meetings, either Regular Membership meetings (first Monday of the Month) and/or Board meetings (last Monday of the Month).
Monday, January 3, 7:30 p.m., will be the first regular membership meeting of the year. This meeting will be geared toward planning goals and (some) changes we need to make. Your input is needed. The Wild Game Feed needs to undergo some changes ..... but, WHAT? Bring your ideas. September will bring our 50th Annual Turkey shoot and again, much help is needed and it is not too soon to start planning.
U.P. Muzzleloader shoots begin Saturday, January 8, and will continue on the first Saturday February, March, April, May and October.
Mike Roth (906.524.7671 or firstname.lastname@example.org) will have IDPA Skills Practice on Saturday, January 15, 2011, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. IDPA skills practice covers handgun safety, range rules, range commands, shooting tasks including: slide lock reload; tactical reload; immediate and remedial action; use of cover; shooting while moving and strong hand/weak hand. Cost is $5.00 for OSC members, $8.00 for non-members. REQUIRED equipment/supplies: handgun (9mm or larger caliber); 150 rounds of ammunition; 2 magazines or speedloaders; magazine;speedloader pouch; concealment holster; concealment garment (light jacket or shirt); hearing and eye protection.
